Last updated: November 2026

Drumstudio 030 takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy statement explains which personal data we process, why we do so, how long we keep it and what your rights are. In case of any difference, the Dutch version prevails.

Who we are

Drumstudio 030, founded by Tim Vermulst, is responsible for processing personal data as described in this statement.
Gruttersdijk 12 (studio 008), 3514 BG Utrecht, the Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 30277366

Which data we process

  • When you sign up or send a message: name, email address, phone number, the student’s name and age, preferences for lesson day, time and teacher, and whatever you write in your message.
  • When you register: the student’s name and date of birth, lesson frequency, and name, address, email address and phone number for invoicing.
  • When you book a trial lesson in the online calendar: the details you enter when booking.
  • During lessons: lesson schedule, attendance and any arrangements with your teacher.
  • On the website: anonymous or anonymised data about website visits (only if you consent via the cookie banner).

Why we use your data

  • Planning a trial lesson and scheduling lessons (performance of the agreement)
  • Contacting you about lessons by email, phone, text message or WhatsApp (performance of the agreement)
  • Sending invoices and keeping our records (performance of the agreement and legal obligation)
  • Improving our website (only with your consent via the cookie banner)

We do not make decisions based on automated processing, and we never sell your data.

Students under 16

If the student is under 16, we arrange sign-up, registration and invoicing with a parent or guardian.

WhatsApp group

We have a WhatsApp group for students where we share drum videos, tips and inspiration. Joining is voluntary. Please note that other members of the group can see your name and phone number. You can leave the group at any time. WhatsApp is a Meta service, and WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies.

Photos and videos

We sometimes take photos or videos during lessons or student concerts, for example for Instagram or our website. We only do this with your consent, and for students under 16 with the consent of a parent or guardian. You can withdraw your consent at any time; we will then take the material offline as soon as possible.

Who we share your data with

We only share your data when it is needed for the lessons, or when we are legally required to do so (for example with the Dutch Tax Administration). We also use a number of services that process data on our behalf:

  • Our teachers: receive the data needed to teach and stay in touch with you
  • Moneybird: invoicing and accounting
  • Google (Gmail and Google Calendar): email and scheduling of trial lessons and lessons
  • Our website hosting: messages sent via the website forms are stored there
  • WhatsApp (Meta): the student group and contact with teachers

We make agreements with these parties about the security of your data, or we choose parties that comply with European privacy law (GDPR).

Website, cookies and embedded content

Our website uses cookies. Functional cookies are needed for the website to work properly. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and cookies from embedded content, such as YouTube and Instagram videos, an Instagram feed and a Google Maps map, are only placed if you consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie banner on the website.

How long we keep your data

  • Student data: up to 1 year after the last lesson date of the current school year
  • Invoices and financial records: 7 years, as required by Dutch law
  • Sign-ups and messages from people who do not become students: up to 1 year

How we protect your data

We take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Our website uses a secure connection (SSL), and accounts are protected with strong passwords. If you think your data is not properly secured or you see signs of misuse, please contact us.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to processing, withdraw your consent and ask for your data to be transferred. Send your request to info@drumstudio030.nl. We will respond as soon as possible, and within four weeks at the latest. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to confirm your identity; a copy of your ID is not needed for this.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

We may update this privacy statement, for example when we start using new services. You can always find the latest version on this page.
